Honey Brook, PA — R-V Industries, Inc. (RVII) announced today the select asset purchase of Beta Star Corporation, Telford, PA. Beta Star’s steam sterilization and disinfection products and services will be marketed as the “Beta Star Life Science Equipment” market area within RVII.

“The Beta Star acquisition provides a great opportunity to realize the synergies between our organizations,” said Kirk Putt, president of R-V Industries. “R-V has served as Beta Star’s primary engineering and ASME vessel supplier for the past six years. This acquisition merges the sterilization and disinfection technology, service and process expertise of Beta Star with the resources and manufacturing strengths of R-V Industries. We offer customers a domestic supplier that provides integrated engineering, manufacturing, testing and field service. We will provide the highest quality equipment at a competitive price while offering unmatched service and delivery.”

“Beta Star was formed in 1982 primarily to handle difficult sterilizer service issues common in the industry,” said William Purvis, president of Beta Star Corporation. “Over the years we developed solutions to these issues. We integrated these solutions into our own line of sterilizers. While the rest of the manufacturers were downsizing or outsourcing to other countries, we maintained our commitment to grow and manufacture our products in the United States. After careful evaluation of growth options, we decided a deal with R-V Industries was best for our employees and customers. By merging our knowledge and experience in the sterilization industry with R-V’s manufacturing experience we have created a unique combination of innovation, quality and service.”

Founded in 1982, Beta Star manufactures and services technologically advanced steam sterilizers for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, animal care, and life science markets. Beta Star’s sales, engineering, service and manufacturing personnel will be transferred to R-V’s corporate offices in Honey Brook, PA.
