Lift and Swing Sterilizer Door

In an effort to eliminate horizontal space requirements for Beta Star's bulk sterilizer units, the engineering team developed an alternative to the horizontal sliding door with the lift and swing door. This application eliminates the need for horizontal space beyond the width of the chamber.

The door is controlled by the touch of a button on the PLC system. An electric motor drives the door up out of the grooves and then a second motor opens the door at a smooth, controlled rate. The system boasts near-silent operation and a door closing safety feature that requires constant depression of the operation button to close the door, avoiding the possibility of something getting caught in the door.
