| Committed to Safety
Congratulations to all R-V employees for their persistent efforts on creating one of the safest places to work in Pennsylvania. We have now successfully completed the requirements enabling us to receive OSHA’s SHARP safety rating. Less than 40 companies in the state of Pennsylvania have qualified for the SHARP rating.
The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) recognizes all employers who operate an exemplary safety and health management system. Our acceptance into SHARP by OSHA is an achievement of status that singles us out among business peers as a model for worksite safety and health. We are now exempt from programmed inspections from August 8, 2009 till August 7, 2011.
In August of 2006 our Tool Box Meeting Program was implemented. The 15 minute meetings held every other Tuesday to facilitate discussion of current safety issues using a prepared training sheet. This program has provided a means to directly discuss safety issues at the workcenter level and heighten hazard awareness. The feed back from employees has been invaluable to improve safety as well as efficiencies in our company. |
We want to recognize the following employees for taking a lead role in this program by facilitating the small group meetings: Allen McEldorney, Bruce Griffin, Clyde Johnson, Jake Deihm, Jeff Minnich, Jerry Wilson, Jim Dillow, John Wentworth, Todd Seidel, Jon Haas, Keith Arbuckle, Steve Mauger, Don Weimer, Ken Ortlip, Mike Sergent, Milt Howe, Dave Pfitzenmeyer, Larry Stevens.
These leaders and their teams are making a difference identifying and eliminating hazards, training and using safe work practices, and reducing our incident rate. This is a great step to improving the overall safety at RV..
Thank you again for your consistent efforts which benefit all your coworkers and their families.
