Welder/Fitters

General Job Description

A Welder/Fitter is required to cut and burn in relation to the fabrication process, fabricate, weld, and straighten all types of materials used in the company’s fabrication and welding operation with little or no supervisory assistance in the shop.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated safety awareness and training in a construction/manufacturing environment
  • Read a tape measure to 1/64”
  • Follow oral and written directions
  • Daily use grinders, torches, plasma cutters, overhead cranes, and forklifts
  • May occasionally perform x-ray quality welds
  • Read and follow weld procedures, QC plans, and other work instruction documents
  • Setup and adjust welding machines and plasma torches

CNC Machinists

Plant: Honey Brook

General Job Description

Machinists prepare and operate a variety of machines (CNC Lathe, Vertical Machining Center, CNC Horizontal Boring Mill, and Manual Horizontal Boring Mill) to produce precision parts and instruments from various metal types (Stainless, Carbon, Aluminum, Cast, Exotics) and configurations (Forging, Bar Stock Weldments, Casting, Plate).

Duties/Responsibilities

All Machines

  • Select, set up, remove, and debur all tooling and parts
  • Responsible for machining and initial inspection of part being made
  • Have a thorough understanding of the speeds and feeds of the machine and how it relates to the material being cut
  • Operate overhead cranes to load and unload machine
  • Responsible for predefined Preventative Maintenance Tasks

CNC Lathe

  • Operate a Monarch Pathfinder CNC Lathe with Fanuc 16T Control
  • Operator is responsible for programming, setting, and changing offsets

Vertical Machining Center

  • Operate a Monarch VMC 150 with GE 2000 control.
  • Operator is responsible for programming, setting, and changing offsets

Horizontal Boring Mill

  • Operate a 6” G&L Horizontal Boring Mill with Fanuc series 18 control

Senior Maintenance Technician

General Job Description

The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe maintenance, repair, and replacement of plant equipment to ensure maximum productive uptime.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensure production equipment is safe, clean, and functional
  • Install, troubleshoot, diagnose problems, repair, adjust, and perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
  • Use a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment to perform job functions

Project Manager

General Job Description

R-V Industries is a design and build manufacturer of custom industrial process equipment. We engineer to order, as well as build to print, a wide variety of specialty equipment. Most of our equipment is built in house by our own in-house fabricators, machinists, mechanical and electrical assemblers. This position resides within our Operations group and coordinates heavily with Sales, Customers, Design Engineering, Purchasing, Sub Vendors, Schedulers, Manufacturing Floor Management, Manufacturing Floor Leads, and Shipping. This position supports Senior Project Managers with all tasks required for the successful completion of projects.

This position is new to RVI and represents a shift in execution philosophy, in that it combines an estimating team currently reporting to sales with a project management and production planning team currently reporting to operations.   • Cost Estimates
    • Coordinate closely with the RVI Sales team to establish priorities
    • Review RFQ’s issued from the RVI Sales team, identifying the items effecting cost
    • Develop/review proposal cost and schedule estimate incorporating relevant items from the RFQ to ensure compliance.
    • RVI proposal costs can be Budget, T&M, T&M NTE, or Firm (coordination with Sales)
    • Coordinate with other departments as required to establish the RVI cost estimate
    • Create the formal quote letter for standard equipment
    • Work closely with Sales who will create the formal quote letter for custom proposals
  • Work Orders
    • Review customers PO’s to verify they comply with the latest RVI proposal
    • Address any discrepancies with RVI Sales or the customer
    • Convert the RVI quote over to an RVI work order
    • Establish major milestone schedule within the RVI business system
    • Non-Engineered work orders
      • Finalize the work order bill of material and release
      • Process the work order bill of material for procurement
      • Create the RVI manufacturing cut sheets
      • Create manufacturing travelers for prefab, fabrication, machining, assembly, test, document control and ship. Incorporating quality requirements as required.
      • Coordinate closely with the scheduling team, communicate budget status, and handle communication as necessary with RVI’s customer
      • Work closely with RVI Sales on follow up upon project completion
    • Engineered work orders
      • Hold project kickoff meeting with technical lead from RVI Design Engineering
      • Support Design Engineering through the drawing approval phase as required
      • Support Design Engineering as they establish the work order bill of material to ensure compliance with the procurement plan
      • Process the work order bill of material for procurement
      • Create the RVI manufacturing cut sheets
      • Create manufacturing travelers for prefab, fabrication, machining, assembly, test, document control and ship. Incorporating quality requirements as required.
      • Coordinate closely with the scheduling team, communicate budget status, and handle communication as necessary with RVI’s customer

Document Control Associate

General Job Description

R-V Industries is a design and build manufacturer of custom industrial process equipment.  We engineer to order, as well as build to print, a wide variety of specialty equipment.  Most of our equipment is designed and built in-house by our own Engineering staff, in-house Fabricators, Machinists, Mechanical and Electrical Assemblers.

The Document Control Associate is responsible to maintain project documents related to the equipment produced. This position will act as a liaison for multiple departments, including Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Project Management, as well as serve administrative duties, as necessary.

Duties/Responsabilities

  • Organize, manage, track, and report on project documents, both electronic and hard copy form.
  • Support the internal and external document transmittal process.
  • Assist in the creation and assembly of operation and maintenance manuals. This includes Beta Star Manuals.
  • Track customer and vendor information
  • Prepare and manage project-specific document packages coming out of Sales and Engineering.
  • Be available as a resource for our Sales and Quality departments printing documents or as needed
  • Handle mailings in and out with regular mail, UPS, Fedex, etc.
  • Maintain the inventory of the supply closet, as well as the printers and copiers with paper and toner.
  • Enter contact (customers, vendors) information within the database.
  • Handle “switchboard” duties. These are calls that make it through to an operator.
  • Daily mail sorting and distribution for our building.
  • Have all necessary visitation forms prepared in advance of customer visits for signature. Scan and file for record. Also, maintain a supply of safety glasses, earplugs and visitor badges.
  • Prepare conference room as required for customer visits.
  • Handle food service requirements for customer/vendor and internal meetings.
  • When required, help arrange travel plans for R-V staff.
  • Back up support for petty cash fund related to RVI staff travel.
  • Assist with preparing and submitting expense reports.
  • Maintain and order office supplies for our building, instead of handling separately by floor as currently done.

Pre-Fabrication Burner Assistant and Deburring Technician

General Job Description

The Burner Assistant aids the Burner Operator who utilizes engineering documents to produce parts on a plasma burning machine.
The Assistant is tasked with maximizing the flow of materials on and off of the burner table and is responsible for deburring burner parts using a parts cleaning machine and angle grinder.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist burner operator.
  • Pull material and load material onto a burn table
  • Unload and label parts
  • Cut scrap with a hand plasma cutter.
  • Operate a cleaning machine and angle grinder to deburr parts.
  • Be able to use a forklift and overhead crane.
  • Weigh and document scrap bins

Manufacturing Specialist

This position in particular requires a person who enjoys serving in multiple departments and assisting with several projects at the same time. The Manufacturing Specialist will assist the Pre-Fab, Production, and Painting departments and will need to operate an assortment of machinery.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist the burner operator with loading and unloading materials
  • Cut scrap with a hand plasma burner
  • Competently set up track, burning, and/or beveling plate with air / electric grinders.
  • Weigh and document scrap bins
  • Prepare surfaces to be coated by using various methods to remove grease, dirt, or rust (i.e. abrasive blasting, high pressure water washing, or power wire brushing)
  • Spray coatings of various solutions onto manufactured products
  • Manage chemicals, drying fans, heaters, and treated machine parts
  • Operate highly specialized moving equipment to position materials weighing over 20,000lbs

Electro-Mechanical Assembler / Service

An Electro-Mechanical Assembler of high speed pharmaceutical packaging equipment assembles and disassembles mechanical parts, pieces, and products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications.
Onsite Equipment Installation & Service is required of GPT products from pre-installation work through Customer hand-off. This position is also responsible for completing service calls in accordance with customer needs and specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities

Electro-Mechanical Assembly:

  • ead and interpret blueprints or sketches and perform layout work.
  • Panel wiring, low voltage 24 VDC, single and three phase 220/480 VAC.
  • Uses necessary tools and equipment to perform construction, assemble, disassemble, repair, rebuild or recondition work as assigned.
  • Clean, degrease, and hand fit parts as needed.
  • Use and maintain precision measuring tools.
  • Perform all material handling duties required or material handling equipment as needed.
  • Adjust, lubricate, and perform minor maintenance on equipment used and maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment and working areas.
  • Operate power saws, small hand tools as relating to work assigned.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures

Service/Installation:

  • Perform installation work independently under little or no supervision or direction.
