Fitter-Welder

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Night Shift

General Job Description

A Fitter-Welder fits and assembles structural frameworks, pressure vessels, and other fabrications with carbon and stainless-steel using hand tools and welding equipment and following blueprint specifications: Examines blueprints and materials list to obtain parts specifications. A Fitter-Welder is required to prepare weld machines and weld all types of materials used in the company’s fabrication and welding operation with little or no supervisory assistance in the shop.

Fitting Skills

  • Lays out parts dimensions on worktable, using square, chalk line, scribe, and soapstone.
  • Tack-welds scrap metal to outline to provide jig for assembly.
  • Positions parts in jig and files, chisels, and grinds parts, as indicated, to fit them together.
  • May heat parts with acetylene torch and bend them in vise, on anvil, or around stakes mounted in table.
  • Tack-welds fitted parts together.
  • May heat parts with acetylene torch.
  • Periodically compares dimensions of assembly to blueprint specifications, using square, rule, and calipers.
  • Works to tolerances
  • Understanding of basic ASME Code tolerances, offset allowance, roundness tolerance and gap tolerance per WPS.
  • Proficient with use of a basic calculator, ability to turn circumference into diameter and vice versa.
  • Safe use of Dogs, Wedges and Fitting Clamps.
  • Weld Shrinkage allowance

Welding Skills

  • Knowledge of welding principals and methods including FCAW, SAW, GMAW, and GTAW
  • Skill in operation of welding methods above
  • Ability to read tape measure to 1/64”
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions
  • Experience with grinders, torches, plasma cutters, overhead cranes, and forklifts
  • Welding with multiple processes in multiple positions as required
  • Experience performing x-ray quality welds
  • Familiar with weld map documentation
  • Understand proper use of weld gauge
  • Read and follow weld procedures, QC plans, and other work instruction documents
  • Setup and adjustment of welding machines and plasma torches
  • Proficiency with manual and semi-automatic execution of weld processes
  • Experience welding ASME Code pressure vessels
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and AWS weld symbols.
  • PPE needed for welding

Code Welder/Fitter

General Job Description

A Welder/Fitter is required to cut and burn in relation to the fabrication process, fabricate, weld, and straighten all types of materials used in the company’s fabrication and welding operation with little or no supervisory assistance in the shop.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated safety awareness and training in a construction/manufacturing environment
  • Read a tape measure to 1/64”
  • Follow oral and written directions
  • Daily use grinders, torches, plasma cutters, overhead cranes, and forklifts
  • May occasionally perform x-ray quality welds

CNC Machinist: Horizontal Boring Mill

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Night Shift

General Job Description

Machinists prepare and operate a variety of machines (CNC Lathe, Vertical Machining Center, CNC Horizontal Boring Mill, and Manual Horizontal Boring Mill) to produce precision parts and instruments from various metal types (stainless, carbon, alum; cast, exotics) and configurations (forging, bar stock weldments, casting, plate).

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Select, set up, remove, and debur all tooling parts
  • Responsible for machining and initial inspection of parts being made
  • Have a thorough understanding of the speeds and feeds of the machine and how it relates to the material being cut
  • Operate overhead cranes to load and unload machine
  • Responsible for predefined preventative maintenance tasks
  • Operate a Monarch Pathfinder CNC Lathe with Fanuc 16T controls
  • Program, set, and change offsets

Skills/Qualifications

  • 3 or more years’ experience as a machinist

Quality Control Inspector

General Job Description

Inspectors ensure that products manufactured meet customer requirements, as well as industry and federal standards.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Professionally represent RVI’s quality program, manuals, and procedures to customers
  • Ensure that products work as intended, do not contain imperfections or weakness, and can withstand prolonged use
  • Understand the quality procedures, audits, and surveillances
  • Maintain quality standards during material review, inspections, and reading results
  • Verify inspection record compliance and proper documentation compliance
  • Perform dimensional inspection using basic and complex medial inspection tools
  • Perform gauge calibration (verification) as required
  • Verify hydrostatic/pneumatic tests are properly executed by established procedures
  • Perform receiving inspections, audits, and surveillances when required
  • Review supplier proposals for compliance to contract requirements when requested by the Quality Assurance Manager

Project Engineer Mechanical

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

General Job Description 
R-V Industries is a design and build manufacturer of custom industrial process equipment.  We engineer to order, as well as build to print, a wide variety of specialty equipment.  Most of our equipment is built in house by our own in house fabricators, machinists, mechanical and electrical assemblers.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the customers to establish the scope for the full scope of projects. This includes establishing project specifications, referencing applicable codes, and establishing the design criteria.
  • Define the required resources for the project, from all pertinent technical documentation required to engineer and design the equipment, build the equipment, assemble and test the equipment, site demolition, site modifications, installation and commissioning.
  • Assist customers with coordinating the project with their internal departments along with external resources of all disciplines as required.
  • Develop project schedules, cost estimating, return on investment analysis, and cash flow reporting.
  • Ownership of all documentation related to the technical aspects of a project.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years experience with project work as defined above

Polisher

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

General Job Description

Polishers use handheld power tools to correct defects, smooth, and prepare metal surfaces.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate polishing equipment
  • Maintain buffing materials and equipment—including buffers, finishing wheels, and finishing machines
  • Assemble products to determine buffing areas and ensure pieces fit together after finishing
  • Maintain a safe working environment by conducting inspections on equipment; following instructions on work order; and examining completed product
  • Conduct minor repairs when necessary

Material Support Specialist

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

General Job Description

The Material Support Specialist is skilled in all aspects of the material handling duties at R-V Industries. This position must be flexible in Work environment and time availability. The Specialist will have a working knowledge of R-V Industries Material Department process’ and procedures, and must be able to fill in, as required, for any need in the department. An attention to details and a keen sense of and appreciation to safety is a must.

General Overview/Job Duities

  • Manage and take responsibility for all raw materials in the yard.
  • Daily load or unload trucks or be asked to supply production areas with product/materials
  • Construct proper bracing, supports, fixtures, etc to ensure proper support for loads
  • Able to operate overhead cranes, fork truck operator, heavy machinery driver
  • Daily inspects and maintains material handling equipment to ensure safety
  • Wrap, skid, crate, etc loads in accordance to company procedures
  • Daily be responsible for inspecting the lifts before usage or shipment
  • Ability to review Bill of Lading and Packing lists to verify Data to actual
  • Interface with R-V systems to input receipts and shipments into business system
  • Outside Service counts, weighs or measures incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against POs, invoices, orders or other records; examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with others to rectify; completes paperwork or forms required for documentation
  • Monthly perform cycle counts as required, including analysis of discrepancies
  • Inspects material paperwork for completeness and acceptability to company requirements
  • Monthly performance general physical inspections on materials and finished goods to company policies
  • Ability to work at any various Plants in R-V Industries.

Electro-Mechanical Assembler / Service

Plant: Genesis Facility, Exton PA

Shift: Day Shift

General Job Description

An Electro-Mechanical Assembler of high-speed pharmaceutical packaging equipment assembles and disassembles mechanical parts, pieces, and products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications.
Onsite Equipment Installation & Service is required of GPT products from pre-installation work through Customer hand-off. This position is also responsible for completing service calls in accordance with customer needs and specifications.

General Overview/Job Duities

  • Read and interpret blueprints or sketches and perform layout work.
  • Panel wiring, low voltage 24 VDC, single and three phase 220/480 VAC.
  • Uses necessary tools and equipment to perform construction, assemble, disassemble, repair, rebuild or recondition work as assigned.
  • Clean, degrease, and hand fit parts as needed.
  • Use and maintain precision measuring tools.
  • Perform all material handling duties required or material handling equipment as needed.

  • Create and maintain all life cycle documentation related to the Genesis product lines (FRS, Validation Protocols, FAT, IQ/OQ, Manuals, SOP’s)
    • Operation and Maintenance manuals for each Genesis product.
    • Create Validation Support Documentation for customer purchased protocols.
    • Create Validation Support Documentation for machines that include the validation documentation with purchase.
    • Assist with creation of Functional Specification for each new machine.
  • Supply customer documentation for change parts orders.
  • Create kit documentation when required.
  • Assist with the management of the Engineering Change Request (ECR) program.
  • Assist with the management of SOP origination and updates
