Beta Star Installation Technician/Service

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Day Shift

General Job Description

The Capital Equipment Installation Technician performs complete capital equipment installations of Beta Star products from pre-installation work through Customer hand-off. This position is responsible for completing installations in accordance with customer needs and specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform installation work independently under little or no supervision or direction.
  • Provide guidance to customer satisfaction regarding installation variances from the specification.
  • Attend construction meetings with costumers or contractors to discuss utilities/space requirements and establish installation schedules.
  • Maintain accurate installation records in the companydatabase for all work performed.
  • Perform installation of all Beta Star products, including, leveling, testing unit, and identifying any additional resources (i.e. technician, subcontractors) to assist in the installation process.
  • Ensure professionalism in both appearance and behavior is maintained at all times.
  • Perform traditional field service representative work, such as preventative maintenance and repair calls as needed.
  • Perform product assembly, testing, process development, and documentation refinement work as needed.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated safety awareness and training in a construction/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • OSHA 30 Certification in Construction Safety is preferred, but not required.
  • 5+ years of capital equipment installation preferred.

Educational/Physical Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 75% of work time will be off-site. Must be able to travel overnight and for up to 2-5 week periods in installation support. Customer sites include hospitals, laboratories, research centers, and construction areas.

CNC Machinists

Plant: Honey Brook

Shift: Night

General Job Description

Machinists prepare and operate a variety of machines (CNC Lathe, Vertical Machining Center, CNC Horizontal Boring Mill, and Manual Horizontal Boring Mill) to produce precision parts and instruments from various metal types (Stainless, Carbon, Aluminum, Cast, Exotics) and configurations (Forging, Bar Stock Weldments, Casting, Plate).

Duties/Responsibilities

All Machines

  • Select, set up, remove, and debur all tooling and parts
  • Responsible for machining and initial inspection of part being made
  • Have a thorough understanding of the speeds and feeds of the machine and how it relates to the material being cut
  • Operate overhead cranes to load and unload machine
  • Responsible for predefined Preventative Maintenance Tasks

CNC Lathe

  • Operate a Monarch Pathfinder CNC Lathe with Fanuc 16T Control
  • Operator is responsible for programming, setting, and changing offsets

Vertical Machining Center

  • Operate a Monarch VMC 150 with GE 2000 control.

Horizontal Boring Mill

Inside Sales and Estimating (ASME Code Division)

General Job Description

The position of Inside Sales and Estimating serves to facilitate corporate growth initiatives and ongoing efforts in the Code, Custom Fabrication and Nuclear Markets.

Scope

The primary duties and role of the position will fall under the Code Market of the organization; however, flexibility will be maintained to support other markets as necessary. This position will function to enhance existing relationships, develop new relationships and carefully estimate cost structure.

Responsibilities

Standard job duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Work with Market Area Manager to review/develop business segment strategy and monitor progress of business plan goals and objectives.
  • Travel to potential customers to develop relationships and evaluate ability to function within the R-V definition of “Partner Account”.
  • Visit existing accounts to strengthen relationships and monitor business activity.
  • Prepare labor and material cost estimates for customer requests for quotation.
  • Coordinate engineering support, when required, to facilitate proposal efforts.
  • Assist in establishing a fair market sales price for the proposal. Follow established corporate procedures for proposal review.
  • Submit a proposal to the client that includes the necessary elements to satisfy the needs of the request.
  • Contact clients to follow up on the status of active proposals and strategize to acquire the maximum volume of work based on the follow up results.
  • Enter all customer orders into R-V database and manage internal processes to meet customer expectations.
  • Work with accounting to complete the necessary information to submit final invoicing documents.
  • Review actual costing vs. estimate to evaluate performance.
  • Establish database of competitors at various plant sites.
  • Assist in reviewing potential new and existing products for development and/or enhancement.
  • Attend industry specific meetings and trade shows as required to facilitate networking and teambuilding opportunities.
  • Other duties as necessary to support corporate sales, service and support objectives.

Industrial Painter

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Day

General Job Description

A painter operates spray-painting equipment to apply protective coatings to manufactured items.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces to be coated by using various methods (abrasive blasting, high pressure water washing or power wire brushing) to remove grease, dirt and rust
  • Monitor extractors, drying fans and heaters
  • Mix chemicals to meet the requirements of the customer
  • Spray coatings (such as paint, lacquer, enamel, silver or copper solutions) onto manufactured products to provide finished surfaces
  • Move items to drying areas and unload and stack them for further painting or packaging
  • Rub down painted items between coats
  • Touch up defective areas of painted items
  • Clean nozzles, containers and hoses of machines.

Skills/Qualifications

  • 2+ years of work experience as a shipper/receiver or material handler

Welder/Fitters

General Job Description

A Welder/Fitter is required to cut and burn in relation to the fabrication process, fabricate, weld, and straighten all types of materials used in the company’s fabrication and welding operation with little or no supervisory assistance in the shop.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated safety awareness and training in a construction/manufacturing environment
  • Read a tape measure to 1/64”
  • Follow oral and written directions
  • Daily use grinders, torches, plasma cutters, overhead cranes, and forklifts
  • May occasionally perform x-ray quality welds

Inspectors ensure that products manufactured meet customer requirements, as well as industry and federal standards.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Professionally represent RVI’s quality program, manuals, and procedures to customers
  • Understand the quality procedures, audits, and surveillances
    Maintain quality standards during material review, inspections, and reading results
  • Verify inspection record compliance and proper documentation compliance
  • Perform dimensional inspection using basic and complex medial inspection tools (Faro Arm, portable CMM)
  • Perform gauge calibration (verification) as required
  • Verify hydrostatic/pneumatic tests are properly executed by established procedures
  • Perform receiving inspections, audits, and surveillances when required

Manufacturing Specialist

General Job Description

The variety of products and services R-V Industries offers provides opportunities for all associates to experience multiple roles within the manufacturing process. This position in particular requires a person who enjoys serving in multiple departments and assisting with several projects at the same time. The Manufacturing Specialist will assist the Pre-Fab, Production, and Painting departments and will need to operate an assortment of machinery.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist the burner operator with loading and unloading materials
  • Cut scrap with a hand plasma burner
  • Competently set up track, burning, and/or beveling plate with air / electric grinders.
  • Weigh and document scrap bins
  • Prepare surfaces to be coated by using various methods to remove grease, dirt, or rust (i.e. abrasive blasting, high pressure water washing, or power wire brushing)
  • Spray coatings of various solutions onto manufactured products
  • Manage chemicals, drying fans, heaters, and treated machine parts
  • Operate highly specialized moving equipment to position materials weighing over 20,000lbs
  • Supply and distribute products or materials to production areas
  • Perform general inspections on materials and finished goods
  • Participate in regular safety trainings to stay current on safe procedures and practices
  • Build supports, or braces as needed to stabilize objects

Skills/Qualifications

Operates CNC rolling machine to bend metal plates, sheets, or bars into arcs, cylinders, or cones Re-rolls cylinders after welding to round up.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Safely move large heavy plates, both flat and rolled with fork trucks, tow motors, and overhead cranes.
  • Basic understanding of metal forming equipment.
  • Move plates around safely with overhead cranes.

Duties/Responsibilities

Electro-Mechanical Assembly:

  • Panel wiring, low voltage 24 VDC, single and three phase 220/480 VAC.
  • Uses necessary tools and equipment to perform construction, assemble, disassemble, repair, rebuild or recondition work as assigned.
