CNC Machinists

Plant: Honey Brook

Shift: Day

General Job Description

Machinists prepare and operate a variety of machines (CNC Lathe, Vertical Machining Center, CNC Horizontal Boring Mill, and Manual Horizontal Boring Mill) to produce precision parts and instruments from various metal types (Stainless, Carbon, Aluminum, Cast, Exotics) and configurations (Forging, Bar Stock Weldments, Casting, Plate).

Duties/Responsibilities

All Machines

  • Select, set up, remove, and debur all tooling and parts
  • Responsible for machining and initial inspection of part being made
  • Have a thorough understanding of the speeds and feeds of the machine and how it relates to the material being cut
  • Operate overhead cranes to load and unload machine
  • Responsible for predefined Preventative Maintenance Tasks

CNC Lathe

  • Operate a Monarch Pathfinder CNC Lathe with Fanuc 16T Control
  • Operator is responsible for programming, setting, and changing offsets

Vertical Machining Center

  • Operate a Monarch VMC 150 with GE 2000 control.
  • Operator is responsible for programming, setting, and changing offsets

Horizontal Boring Mill

  • Operate a 6” G&L Horizontal Boring Mill with Fanuc series 18 control
  • Operator is responsible for programming, setting, and changing offsets

Manual Horizontal Boring Mill

  • Operate a 6” G&L Horizontal Boring Mill with 3 axis digital readouts
  • Operator is responsible for setting tooling to readouts

Skills/Qualifications

Senior Maintenance Technician

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Day

General Job Description

The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe maintenance, repair, and replacement of plant equipment to ensure maximum productive uptime.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensure production equipment is safe, clean, and functional
  • Install, troubleshoot, diagnose problems, repair, adjust, and perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
  • Use a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment to perform job functions
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Detect and report faulty operations, defective material, and any unusual situations to proper supervision
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Other related duties

Skills/Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in an industrial, construction, or manufacturing environment
  • Proficient with basic hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and understand operation and maintenance manuals
  • Must have the ability to read drawing and schematics
  • High mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Dock Supervisor

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Day

Overview of Dock Duties

  • To be the control point for all incoming and outgoing material. This includes an understanding of:
    • The process elements.
    • The applicable documented procedures.
    • The applicable transactions.
    • The applicable process control documents (pack slip, receiving ticket, BOL, etc…)
    • The liabilities associated with each activity.
    • The safety precautions recommended to mitigate the risk of injury or property damage for each activity.
  • To drive continuous improvement with regard to dock operations. This includes:
    • Identification, investigation and documentation of the cause of non-conformances hindering efficient Dock operations.
    • Written Communication of the cause issues and need for change to supporting supervisors and Department Managers.
    • Follow up to ensure corrective action is being considered, planned, and/or implemented to eliminate the cause of a problem.
  • To ensure material is properly protected for shipment. This includes oversight of the following:
    • The skidding, banding, crating, packing, loading, and securing of all outgoing shipments to industry-accepted standards. Must consider any special requirements outlined on the work order or pack slip.
    • Inspection of the truck to ensure its adequacy to transport material being loaded onto or into it.
  • Training of subordinates (shippers, receivers, inventory clerks and material handlers).
  • Ensure subordinate adherence to RV policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the daily delegation of duties and tasks to the warehouse team.

Knowledge
The Dock Supervisor should have the following knowledge:

  • BOL documentation regulatory compliance and liability implications
  • Inventory Transactions and liability implications of each
  • Packaging methods and appropriate application of each
  • Driving Safety, Warehouse Safety, Fork truck Safety, Dock Safety
  • RV Policies and Procedures related to employment, shipping, receiving, driving, procurement, material handling, material identification, and safety.

Welder/Fitters

Plant: Honey Brook and Morgantown, PA

Shift: Day and Night Shifts

General Job Description

A Welder/Fitter is required to cut and burn in relation to the fabrication process, fabricate, weld, and straighten all types of materials used in the company’s fabrication and welding operation with little or no supervisory assistance in the shop.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated safety awareness and training in a construction/manufacturing environment
  • Read a tape measure to 1/64”
  • Follow oral and written directions
  • Daily use grinders, torches, plasma cutters, overhead cranes, and forklifts
  • May occasionally perform x-ray quality welds
  • Read and follow weld procedures, QC plans, and other work instruction documents
  • Setup and adjust welding machines and plasma torches
  • Read and interpret blueprints and AWS weld symbols
  • Lay and fit as directed by drawing or process sheet
  • Create fixtures to hold part while being welded
  • Perform basic NDE procedures (LPT and VT)
  • Understand tolerances and the importance of maintaining them

Educational/Physical Requirements

  • Knowledge of welding principals and methods including FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW
  • 5+ years welding/fitting experience welding ASME Code pressure vessels
  • Welding with multiple processes in multiple positions as required

General Job Description

A mechanical Assembler assembles and disassembles mechanical parts, pieces, and products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications.

Duties/Responsabilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints or sketches, and perform layout work.
  • Uses necessary tools and equipment to perform construction, assemble, disassemble, repair, rebuild or recondition work as assigned.
  • Clean, degrease, sandblast, prime, paint, condition, straighten, flatten and hand fit parts as needed.
  • Use and maintain precision measuring tools.
  • Perform all material handling duties required, use cranes or material handling equipment as needed.
  • Adjust, lubricate, and perform minor maintenance on equipment used and maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment and working areas.
  • Operate power saws, rill grinders, portable hydraulic jacks, vertical and horizontal presses, sandblast and painting equipment, as relating to work assigned.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

Manufacturing Specialist

General Job Description

The variety of products and services R-V Industries offers provides opportunities for all associates to experience multiple roles within the manufacturing process. This position in particular requires a person who enjoys serving in multiple departments and assisting with several projects at the same time. The Manufacturing Specialist will assist the Pre-Fab, Production, and Painting departments and will need to operate an assortment of machinery.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist the burner operator with loading and unloading materials
  • Cut scrap with a hand plasma burner
  • Competently set up track, burning, and/or beveling plate with air / electric grinders.
  • Weigh and document scrap bins
  • Prepare surfaces to be coated by using various methods to remove grease, dirt, or rust (i.e. abrasive blasting, high pressure water washing, or power wire brushing)
  • Spray coatings of various solutions onto manufactured products
  • Manage chemicals, drying fans, heaters, and treated machine parts
  • Operate highly specialized moving equipment to position materials weighing over 20,000lbs
  • Supply and distribute products or materials to production areas
  • Perform general inspections on materials and finished goods
  • Participate in regular safety trainings to stay current on safe procedures and practices
  • Build supports, or braces as needed to stabilize objects

Skills/Qualifications

  • Experience operating tow motors, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and fork lifts
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
  • Able to interpret blue prints and work order instructions
  • Must be proficient with general mathematics
  • Able to communicate effectively and be a team player
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Educational/Physical Requirements

Vertical Machining Center:

  • Operate a Bridgeport Mill with 2 axis digital readout

Receipt Inspection

General Job Description

An Electro-Mechanical Assembler of high speed pharmaceutical packaging equipment assembles and disassembles mechanical parts, pieces, and products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications.
Onsite Equipment Installation & Service is required of GPT products from pre-installation work through Customer hand-off. This position is also responsible for completing service calls in accordance with customer needs and specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities

Electro-Mechanical Assembly:

  • ead and interpret blueprints or sketches and perform layout work.
  • Panel wiring, low voltage 24 VDC, single and three phase 220/480 VAC.
  • Uses necessary tools and equipment to perform construction, assemble, disassemble, repair, rebuild or recondition work as assigned.
  • Clean, degrease, and hand fit parts as needed.
  • Use and maintain precision measuring tools.
  • Perform all material handling duties required or material handling equipment as needed.
  • Adjust, lubricate, and perform minor maintenance on equipment used and maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment and working areas.
  • Operate power saws, small hand tools as relating to work assigned.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes

  • Perform installation work independently under little or no supervision or direction.
