CDL Driver - Class A

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Day Shift

General Job Description

The CDL Driver’s primary responsibility is to transport materials and equipment to our various job sites in a safe and timely manner. The driver is responsible for adhering to all state, federal, and DOT regulations and will obtain daily assignments from the Company’s dispatcher. CDL A Drivers operate a tractor trailer and CDL B drivers operate a straight truck.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Receive work-related assignments from the Company dispatcher and execute these assignments in a safe and timely manner
  • Maintain work records, logs, and timesheets
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections and explain the reasoning behind the inspections
  • Responsible for routine fueling, lubricating, and servicing of their vehicle
  • Convey loads to their destination in a safe and timely manner
  • Inspect equipment used for moving and securing equipment, such as cables, chains, binders, and straps
  • Assist with loading and unloading of equipment and materials while coordinating other workers helping to load and unload
  • Read and understand instruments on heavy trucking equipment
  • Operate equipment used for moving, loading, and unloading material
  • Unload materials and equipment to proper locations on jobsite or in the yard
  • Work safely, assist in ensuring safe working conditions exist and report unsafe conditions to supervisor
  • When not driving, will be directed by Shop Foreman on tasks to be completed around shop and yard

Skills/Qualifications

  • Be well-versed in the various regulatory requirements of FMCSA and DOT
  • Read and understand instruments on heavy trucking equipment
  • Must be flexible to constantly changing conditions–both as they relate to work schedule, and project site conditions
  • Must possess a good attitude and be able to operate in team atmosphere–assisting foremen and co-workers in performance of duties

Educational/Physical Requirements

  • Class A CDL license
  • Minimum age of 23 with at least 2 years of verifiable driving experience and a clean criminal and driving record
  • Must pass a documented, R-V competency road test
  • Normal work requires frequent or continuous lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing or similar body and limb movement. The associate must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 0lbs
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment while on all job sites

CNC / Manual Machinist

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Night Shift

General Job Description

Machinists prepare and operate a variety of machines (CNC Lathe, Vertical Machining Center, CNC Horizontal Boring Mill, and Manual Horizontal Boring Mill) to produce precision parts and instruments from various metal types (Stainless, Carbon, Alum, Cast, Exotics) and configurations (Forging, Bar Stock Weldments, Casting, Plate).

Duties/Responsibilities

ALL MACHINES

  • Select , set up, remove, and debur all tooling and parts
  • Responsible for machining and initial inspection of part being made
  • Have a thorough understanding of the speeds and feeds of the machine and how it relates to the material being cut
  • Operate overhead cranes to load and unload machine
  • Responsible for predefined Preventative Maintenance Tasks

CNC LATHE

  • Operate a Monarch Pathfinder CNC Lathe with Fanuc 16T Control
  • Operator is responsible for programming, setting, and changing efforts

VERTICAL MACHINING CENTER

  • Operate a Monarch VMC 150 with GE 2000 control
  • Operator is responsible for programming, setting, and changing efforts

HORIZONTAL BORING MILL

  • Operate a 6″ G&L Horizontal Boring Mill with Fanuc Series 18 Control
  • Operator is responsible for programming, setting, and changing efforts

MANUAL HORIZONTAL BORING MILL

  • Operate a 6″ G&L Horizontal Boring Mill with 3 axis digital readouts
  • Operator is responsible for setting tooling to readouts

Skills/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated safety awareness and training in a construction/manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years experience as a machinist
  • Multi tasking ability and Organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints and process sheet routings

NDT / RT Level II

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Day Shift

General Job Description

Industrial Radiographers work to examine base materials, fabrications and assemblies for flaws using specialized methods, X-ray generating equipment and radioactive source material. Interpret radiographs for acceptance or rejection based on customers’ specifications and/or nationally recognized codes.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Professionally represent RVI’s quality programs in accordance to manuals and procedures
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under examination, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
  • Set up radiographic exposures with appropriate identification, location markers, and penetrometers
  • Conduct Radiographic examinations for detection of discontinuities (defects)
  • Process develop and interpret radiographic films for acceptance or rejection based on customers’ specifications and/or nationally recognized codes (ASME , ANSI, API, AWS)
  • Mark-up examined materials, fabrications and assemblies showing type and location of defects identified on film
  • Load and unload materials, fabrications and assemblies in and out of shooting areas using overhead cranes, fork lifts, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager
  • Maintain inspection records for proper documentation compliance
  • Review supplier proposals for compliance to contract requirements when requested by the Quality Assurance Manager
  • Comply with all safety requirements
  • Provide guidance and on-the-job training of Trainees and RT Assistants.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and interpret design and manufacturing drawings
  • Understand nationally recognized codes (ASME, ANSI, API, AWS) and NQA-1 Quality Systems
  • Communicate effectively in both written and oral manner
  • Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) training is a plus
  • Proven track record for compliance to ALARA principles
  • Proficient math skills for calculation of exposure durations, safe boundary establishment, etc.
  • Previously qualified (preferred) or ability to qualify in non-destructive examination methods, i.e.: VT, PT, UT Thickness, MT
  • Strong work ethic
  • Dependable

Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred
  • Two or more years of experience in industrial radiography (non-medical)
  • Current certification as an RT Level II
  • Current Industrial Radiography Radiation Safety Personnel (IRRSP) card (Required and coded for X-ray or Combo – RAM & X-ray)
  • Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
  • Everyday exposure to moving machinery, welding arc flash, dust, dirt, grease or other disagreeable elements

Pre Fabrication Burner Helper

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Day Shift

General Job Description 
The Burner Helper provides assistance to the Burner Operator who utilizes engineering documents to produce a part on a burning machine.

Responsibilities

  • Assist burner operator
  • Pull material and load material onto a burn table
  • Unload parts
  • Cut scrap with a hand plasma cutter
  • Be able to use a forklift and overhead crane
  • Weigh and document scrap bins
  • Clean parts that come off of burn table

Qualifications

  • Team Player
  • Able to work with co-workers effectively as well as manage a fast pace environment
  • Experience with tow motors/pallet jacks
  • Experience with overhead cranes/rigging of large materials (i.e. plates)
  • Able to keep work area clean and well organized (equipment in good working order)

Educational/Physical Requirements

Polisher

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Night Shift

General Job Description

Polishers use handheld power tools to correct defects, smooth, and prepare metal surfaces.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate polishing equipment
  • Maintain buffing materials and equipment—including buffers, finishing wheels, and finishing machines
  • Assemble products to determine buffing areas and ensure pieces fit together after finishing
  • Maintain a safe working environment by conducting inspections on equipment; following instructions on work order; and examining completed product
  • Conduct minor repairs when necessary

Skills/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding of equipment needed for job—including wheels used for buffing and polishing
  • Basic mathematical knowledge
  • Able to keep work area clean and well organized
  • Experience with a wide variety of stainless steel alloys
  • Able to interpret blue prints or work order instructions
  • Suitable manual dexterity for manipulating equipment on a variety of parts

Welder/Fitter

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Day and Night Shift

General Job Description

A Fitter-Welder fits and assembles structural frameworks, pressure vessels, and other fabrications with carbon and stainless-steel using hand tools and welding equipment and following blueprint specifications: Examines blueprints and materials list to obtain parts specifications. A Fitter-Welder is required to prepare weld machines and weld all types of materials used in the company’s fabrication and welding operation with little or no supervisory assistance in the shop.

Fitting and Welding Skills/Qualifications

  • Lays out parts dimensions on worktable, using square, chalk line, scribe, and soapstone.
  • Tack-welds scrap metal to outline to provide jig for assembly.
  • Positions parts in jig and files, chisels, and grinds parts, as indicated, to fit them together.
  • May heat parts with acetylene torch and bend them in a vise, on anvil, or around stakes mounted in a table.
  • Tack-welds fitted parts together.
  • May heat parts with acetylene torch.
  • Periodically compares dimensions of assembly to blueprint specifications, using square, rule, and calipers.
  • Works to tolerances
  • Understanding of basic ASME Code tolerances, offset allowance, roundness tolerance and gap tolerance per WPS.
  • Proficient with use of a basic calculator, ability to turn circumference into diameter and vice versa.
  • Safe use of Dogs, Wedges and Fitting Clamps.
  • Weld Shrinkage allowance
  • Knowledge of welding principals and methods including FCAW, SAW, GMAW, and GTAW
  • Skill in operation of welding methods above
  • Ability to read tape measure to 1/64”
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions
  • Experience with grinders, torches, plasma cutters, overhead cranes, and forklifts
  • Welding with multiple processes in multiple positions as required
  • Experience performing x-ray quality welds
  • Familiar with weld map documentation
  • Understand proper use of weld gauge
  • Read and follow weld procedures, QC plans, and other work instruction documents
  • Setup and adjustment of welding machines and plasma torches
  • Proficiency with manual and semi-automatic execution of weld processes
  • Experience welding ASME Code pressure vessels
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and AWS weld symbols.
  • PPE needed for welding

Educational / Physical Requirements

  • 5+ years welding experience
  • Must be able to complete and pass a physical assessment
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
