Beta Star Installation Technician/Service

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Day Shift

General Job Description

The Capital Equipment Installation Technician performs complete capital equipment installations of Beta Star products from pre-installation work through Customer hand-off. This position is responsible for completing installations in accordance with customer needs and specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform installation work independently under little or no supervision or direction.
  • Provide guidance to customer satisfaction regarding installation variances from the specification.
  • Attend construction meetings with costumers or contractors to discuss utilities/space requirements and establish installation schedules.
  • Maintain accurate installation records in the companydatabase for all work performed.
  • Perform installation of all Beta Star products, including, leveling, testing unit, and identifying any additional resources (i.e. technician, subcontractors) to assist in the installation process.
  • Ensure professionalism in both appearance and behavior is maintained at all times.
  • Perform traditional field service representative work, such as preventative maintenance and repair calls as needed.
  • Perform product assembly, testing, process development, and documentation refinement work as needed.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated safety awareness and training in a construction/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • OSHA 30 Certification in Construction Safety is preferred, but not required.
  • 5+ years of capital equipment installation preferred.

Educational/Physical Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 75% of work time will be off-site. Must be able to travel overnight and for up to 2-5 week periods in installation support. Customer sites include hospitals, laboratories, research centers, and construction areas.
  • Lifting up to 110lbs, bending, squatting, sitting, standing, and twisting.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a physical assessment for RVI and customers as needed.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Code Welder/Fitters

Plant: Honey Brook, PA and Morgantown, PA

Shift: Day and Night Shift

General Job Description

A Welder/Fitter is required to cut and burn in relation to the fabrication process, fabricate, weld, and straighten all types of materials used in the company’s fabrication and welding operation with little or no supervisory assistance in the shop.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated safety awareness and training in a construction/manufacturing environment
  • Read a tape measure to 1/64”
  • Follow oral and written directions
  • Daily use grinders, torches, plasma cutters, overhead cranes, and forklifts
  • May occasionally perform x-ray quality welds
  • Read and follow weld procedures, QC plans, and other work instruction documents
  • Setup and adjust welding machines and plasma torches
  • Read and interpret blueprints and AWS weld symbols
  • Lay and fit as directed by drawing or process sheet
  • Create fixtures to hold part while being welded
  • Perform basic NDE procedures (LPT and VT)
  • Understand tolerances and the importance of maintaining them

Educational/Physical Requirements

  • Knowledge of welding principals and methods including FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW
  • 5+ years welding/fitting experience welding ASME Code pressure vessels
  • Welding with multiple processes in multiple positions as required
  • Must be able to complete and pass a physical assessment

Laboratory Specialist

Plant: Exton, PA

General Job Description

Genesis Packaging Technologies is a worldwide leader in the science and technology of parenteral vial sealing and residual seal force testing. We provide the best crimping equipment in the world and we offer both the global service and technical support to back it up. Offering our customers the tools and knowledge to consistently achieve container closure integrity remains our priority. One of our services is conducting laboratory sealing and testing studies to verify container closure integrity. This is an entry-level position with the opportunity for growth and advancement.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Conduct Laboratory studies as outlined by Sales and Engineering.
    • Organize and label components.
    • Seal vials using the PW Integra lab capper.
    • Seal vials using the RW lab capper.
    • Complete RSF testing using the lab RSF tester.
    • Package samples to send to third party testing facilities.
    • Gather data from third party testing facilities.
    • Create summary data report for studies.
    • Create detailed reports for studies.
  • Complete “Consulting Worksheets” for every study to outline the steps and criteria for the studies utilizing the bid and standards.
  • Maintain the lab area in a clean and organized manner.
  • Manage the lab schedule of all studies.
  • Create and manage internal studies with engineering to test new concepts and equipment.

Skills/Qualifications

Materials Flow Expeditor

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Day Shift

General Job Description

The Materials Flow Expeditor general purpose is to increase the efficiency of the manufacturing workforce by decreasing time spent locating and kitting jobs.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Maximize efficiency with all projects on the production floor.
  • Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, to determine materials requirements or material priorities.
  • Assist in movement/staging/kitting of materials for work in process.

Educational/Physical Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Experience in a steel manufacturing company.
  • Must be organized and able to monitor a number of orders from multiple vendors. The position requires someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Part-Time Document Control Associate

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Day

General Job Description

R-V Industries is a design and build manufacturer of custom industrial process equipment.  We engineer to order, as well as build to print, a wide variety of specialty equipment.  Most of our equipment is designed and built in house by our own Engineering staff, in-house Fabricators, Machinists, Mechanical and Electrical Assemblers.

The Document Control Associate is responsible to maintain project documents related to the equipment produced. This position will act as a liaison for multiple departments, including Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Project Management, as well as serve administrative duties, as necessary.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Organize, manage, track, and report on project documents, both electronic and hard copy form.
  • Support the internal and external document transmittal process.
  • Assist in the creation and assembly of operation and maintenance manuals. This includes Beta Star Manuals.
  • Track customer and vendor information.
  • Prepare and manage project-specific document packages.
  • Be available as a resource for our Sales and Quality departments printing documents or as needed.
  • Handle mailings in and out with regular mail, UPS, Fedex, etc.
  • Maintain the inventory of the supply closet, as well as the printers and copiers with paper and toner.
  • Enter contact (customers, vendors) information within the database.
  • Support the document control department as needed.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Attention to detail and organization.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to work with a wide variety of associates.

Pre Fabrication Burner Helper

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Day Shift

General Job Description

The Burner Helper provides assistance to the Burner Operator who utilizes engineering documents to produce a part on a burning machine.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist burner operator.
  • Pull material and load material onto a burn table.
  • Unload parts.
  • Cut scrap with a hand plasma cutter.
  • Be able to use fork lift and overhead crane.
  • Weigh and document scrap bins.
  • Clean parts that come off of burn table.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Team Player.
  • Able to work with co-workers effectively as well as manage a fast pace environment.
  • Experience with tow motors/pallet jacks.
  • Experience with overhead cranes/rigging of large materials (i.e. plates).
  • Able to keep the work area clean and well organized (equipment in good working order).

Educational/Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to complete and pass a physical assessment.
  • Everyday repetitive wrist, hand or finger movement, involving gripping and wrist torquing.
  • Everyday stair climbing, bending, crouching, stooping, standing, walking, and occasionally reaching overhead.
