Customer Service Representative

Plant: Exton, PA

Shift: Day (8am – 5pm)

General Job Description

This position is responsible for dealing with customer service requests, inquiries, and orders – often serving as the main point of contact with our customers. The customer service role works as a part of our inside sales team and may be involved with parts orders, inventory control, and maintaining computerized information systems. This role will also perform general administrative and accounting tasks as needed.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Generate customer quotes and work orders within the database
  • Organize and schedule resources required to accomplish servie activities
  • Assist with travel arrangements for service technicians
  • Write, edit, and distribute customer service reports after job is completed
  • Resolve billing issues, work order discrepancies, and other related topics with the Accounting and Finance departments
  • Responsible for A/R management
  • Assist Shipping/Receiving, Inventory, and Engineering with projects as needed

Skills / Qualifications

Document Control Associate (PT)

Plant: Honey Brook Facility

Shift: 1st Shift (Day) – Part time hours

General Job Description

The Document Control Associate is responsible to maintain project documents related to the equipment produced by R-V Industries, Inc. This position will act as a liaison for multiple departments, including Engineering, Quality, and Project Management, as well as serve administrative duties as necessary.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Prepare, organize, manage, track, and report on project-specific documents, both electronic and hard copies, including customer document packages
  • Act as a contact for all internal and external documents
  • Assist in the creation and assembly of operation and maintenance manuals
  • Enter production time entry into database
  • Manage Material Test Reports (MTR’s) electronically
  • Maintain records of U-1 reports/log sheet
  • Enter NQA-1 training records into database
  • Be available as a resource for all departments as needed
  • Maintain the inventory of office and office machine supplies
  • Assist receptionist and fill in at the main switchboard when needed

Skills / Qualifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Organizational skills for file management (electronic and hard copy)
  • Attention to detail and organization
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to work with a wide variety of associates

Fitter / Welder

Plant: Honey Brook and Morgantown Facilities

Shift: Day and Night shifts

General Job Description

A Welder/Fitter is required to cut according to the fabrication process, fabricate, weld, and straighten all types of materials used in the company’s fabrication and welding operations with little or no supervisory assistance in the shop.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Knowledge of welding principals and methods including FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW
  • Ability to read tape measure to 1/64”
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions
  • Experience with grinders, torches, plasma cutters, overhead cranes, and forklifts
  • Experience performing x-ray quality welds
  • Read and follow weld procedures, QC plans, and other work instruction documents
  • Proficiency with manual and semi-automatic execution of weld processes
  • Experience welding ASME Code pressure vessels
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and AWS weld symbols
  • Create fixtures to hold part while being welded
  • Perform basic NDE procedures (LPT and VT)
  • Understand tolerances and the importance of maintaining them

Educational / Physical Requirements

  • 5+ years welding/fitting experience
  • Must be able to complete and pass a physical assessment

Inside Sales and Estimating – Code and Custom Fabrication

Plant: Honey Brook, Pa

Shift: Day Shift

Job Description

This position will prepare labor and material cost estimates for customer requests. The preferred candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, specifically custom fabrication, and will be able to interpret designs for the purpose of quotations. Prior customer service or sales experience is also highly valuable.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with engineers to create proposals
  • Establish a fair market sales price for proposals
  • Contact clients on the status of active proposals and strategize how to connect with new customers
  • After receiving a project, share information with the rest of the team
  • Handle all questions, comments, or changes to the contract
  • Review actual costs against the estimate to evaluate our performance

Skills / Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of ASME code regulations
  • Experience with nuclear fabrication
  • Excellent ability with interpreting blueprints
  • Firm understanding of fabrication and machining processes
  • Able to understand customer specifications

Educational / Physical Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing or estimating

Machinist – CNC Horizontal Boring Mill

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Night (4pm – 2am)

General Job Description

Machinists prepare and operate a variety of machines (CNC Lathe, Vertical Machining Center, CNC Horizontal Boring Mill, and Manual Horizontal Boring Mill) to produce precision parts and instruments from various metal types (Stainless, Carbon, Alum; Cast, Exotics) and configurations (Forging, Bar Stock Weldments, Casting, Plate).

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Select, set up, remove, and debur all tooling parts
  • Responsible for machining and initial inspection of parts being made
  • Have a thorough understanding of the speeds and feeds of the machine and how it relates to the material being cut
  • Operate overhead cranes to load and unload machine
  • Responsible for predefined preventative maintenance tasks
  • Operate a Monarch Pathfinder CNC Lathe with Fanuc 16T controls
  • Program, set, and change offsets

Skills/Qualifications

  • 3 or more years experience as a machinist
  • Work well with others
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to take direction and constructive criticism

Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Day

General Job Description

This position is responsible for the overall design of mechanical equipment to support job specifications, applicable codes, and design requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Participate in the PO and specification review and assist in the development of all pertinent technical documentation required to build, assemble, and test the equipment. This includes drawings, component specifications, bills of materials and procedures.
  • Assist with sales, project management, purchasing, quality, manufacturing, testing and installation with all issues related to the contract.
  • Communicate with our customer’s technical personnel in all matters related to design along with any other pertinent technical requirements
  • Review project specifications, digest those specifications for manufacturing use, create Bills of Materials with all pertinent technical requirements defined for purchasing.
  • Own all technical aspects and documentation related to a project
  • Execute projects from a budget and schedule standpoint as it relates to design activities

Skills/Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience with equipment design and or machine design along with creating detailed manufacturing drawings
  • Strong knowledge of Solidworks, Inventor, or AutoCAD
  • AWS Welding Symbol and Geometric Tolerancing understanding
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic Technical Writing Skills
  • Basic Sizing Components & collecting standard calculation packages
  • Create layouts, design concepts & detailed manufacturing drawings
  • Confident with selecting and integrating commercial components (Bearings, Gearing, Linear Motion components, etc.)

Sr. Mechanical Project Engineer

Plant: Off-site location

Shift: Day (8am – 5pm)

General Job Description

R-V Industries designs and builds custom industrial process equipment. Most of our products are built in house by our own fabricators, machinists, mechanical, and electrical assemblers. The Mechanical Project Engineer works directly with customers to establish the scope of projects. This includes establishing project specification, referencing applicable codes, and establishing the design criteria.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Define the required resources for the project, from all pertinent technical documentation required
  • Oversee the assembly and testing the equipment, demolition, site modifications, installation, and commissioning.
  • Assist customers with coordinating the project with their internal departments along with external resources of all disciplines as required.
  • Develop project schedules, cost estimating, return on investment analysis, and cash flow reporting.
  • Create Bills of Materials for purchasing and production
  • Write specs for commercial buyout components

Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years experience with project work as defined above
  • Experience with installation supervision and commissioning of mechanical equipment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and technical writing
  • Able to create layout drawing and equipment manufacturing drawings
  • Strong communication skills
