Electro-Mechanical Assembler (Service)

Plant: Exton, PA

Shift: Day (8am – 5pm)

General Job Description

An Electro-Mechanical Assembler of high speed pharmaceutical packaging equipment assembles and disassembles mechanical parts, pieces, and products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications. On-site equipment installation and service is required of GPT products from pre-installation work through customer hand-off. This position is also responsible for completing service calls in accordance with costumer needs and specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints or sketches and perform layout work
  • Wire panels, low voltage 24 VDC, single and three phase 220/480 VAC.
  • Use necessary tools and equipment to perform construction, assemble, disassemble, repair, or recondition work as assigned
  • Clean, degrease, and fit parts as needed
  • Use and maintain precision measuring tools
  • Adjust, lubricate, and perform minor maintenance on equipment used
  • Repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Perform installations independently and provide customer guidance with installation variances
  • Validate equipment, perform product assembly, development, and testing on location as necessary

Skills/Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience
  • Experience with hand and power tools
  • Able to follow directions and read blueprints/tape measure

Machinist – CNC Horizontal Boring Mill

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Night (4pm – 2am)

General Job Description

Machinists prepare and operate a variety of machines (CNC Lathe, Vertical Machining Center, CNC Horizontal Boring Mill, and Manual Horizontal Boring Mill) to produce precision parts and instruments from various metal types (Stainless, Carbon, Alum; Cast, Exotics) and configurations (Forging, Bar Stock Weldments, Casting, Plate).

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Select, set up, remove, and debur all tooling parts
  • Responsible for machining and initial inspection of parts being made
  • Have a thorough understanding of the speeds and feeds of the machine and how it relates to the material being cut
  • Operate overhead cranes to load and unload machine
  • Responsible for predefined preventative maintenance tasks
  • Operate a Monarch Pathfinder CNC Lathe with Fanuc 16T controls
  • Program, set, and change offsets

Skills/Qualifications

  • 3 or more years experience as a machinist

Job Description

Locate and kit jobs to increase work force efficiency.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Maximize efficiency with all projects on the production floor.
  • Review documents, such as production schedules and work orders, to determine materials requirements or material priorities.
  • Assist in moving / staging / kitting materials for work in process.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Experience in a steel manufacturing company
  • Must be organized and able to monitor a number of orders from multiple vendors.

Mechanical Design Engineer

Plant: Honey Brook, PA

Shift: Day

General Job Description

R-V Industries is a design and build manufacturer of custom industrial process equipment.  We engineer a wide variety of specialty equipment.  Most of our equipment is built in house by our own fabricators, machinists, mechanical and electrical assemblers.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Design mechanical equipment to support job specifications, applicable codes, and design requirements
  • Responsible for the PO and specification review and all pertinent technical documentation required to build, assemble, and test the equipment. This includes drawings, component specifications, bills of materials and procedures.
  • Assist Sales, Project Managers, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, Testing and Installation with all issues related to the contract
  • Communicate with our customer’s technical personnel in all matters related to design along with any other pertinent technical requirements
  • Review project specifications, create Bills of Materials with all pertinent technical requirements defined for purchasing.
  • Handle all documentation related to the technical aspects of a project and project execution from a budget and schedule standpoint

Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years extensive experience with ASME Section VIII & design for manufacturing
  • 5+ years of experience using Compress (preferred) or PV-Elite
  • 5+ years of SolidWorks experience (preferred) or Autocad
  • Highly detail oriented for the purpose of creating/upholding design standards
  • Understand P&ID diagrams, AWS, and pneumatic controls and component specification
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Project
  • Project Management experience preferred

Educational/Physical Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • An active PE license in the state of PA is preferred

Mechanical Project Engineer

General Job Description

R-V Industries designs and builds custom industrial process equipment. Most of our products are built in house by our own fabricators, machinists, mechanical, and electrical assemblers. The Mechanical Project Engineer works directly with customers to establish the scope of projects. This includes establishing project specification, referencing applicable codes, and establishing the design criteria.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Define the required resources for the project, from all pertinent technical documentation required
  • Oversee the assembly and testing the equipment, demolition, site modifications, installation, and commissioning.
  • Assist customers with coordinating the project with their internal departments along with external resources of all disciplines as required.
  • Develop project schedules, cost estimating, return on investment analysis, and cash flow reporting.
  • Create Bills of Materials for purchasing and production
  • Write specs for commercial buyout components

Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years experience with project work as defined above
  • Experience with installation supervision and commissioning of mechanical equipment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and technical writing
  • Able to create layout drawing and equipment manufacturing drawings
  • Strong communication skills

Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer

General Job Description

This position is responsible for the overall design of mechanical equipment to support job specifications, applicable codes, and design requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Participate in the PO and specification review and assist in the development of all pertinent technical documentation required to build, assemble, and test the equipment. This includes drawings, component specifications, bills of materials and procedures.
  • Assist with sales, project management, purchasing, quality, manufacturing, testing and installation with all issues related to the contract.
  • Communicate with our customer’s technical personnel in all matters related to design along with any other pertinent technical requirements
  • Review project specifications, digest those specifications for manufacturing use, create Bills of Materials with all pertinent technical requirements defined for purchasing.
  • Own all technical aspects and documentation related to a project
  • Execute projects from a budget and schedule standpoint as it relates to design activities

Skills/Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience with equipment design and or machine design along with creating detailed manufacturing drawings
  • Strong knowledge of Solidworks, Inventor, or AutoCAD
  • AWS Welding Symbol and Geometric Tolerancing understanding
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic Technical Writing Skills
  • Basic Sizing Components & collecting standard calculation packages
  • Create layouts, design concepts & detailed manufacturing drawings
  • Confident with selecting and integrating commercial components (Bearings, Gearing, Linear Motion components, etc.)

Welder / Fitter

Plant: Honey Brook and Morgantown Facilities

Shift: Day and Night shifts

General Job Description

A Welder/Fitter is required to cut according to the fabrication process, fabricate, weld, and straighten all types of materials used in the company’s fabrication and welding operations with little or no supervisory assistance in the shop.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Knowledge of welding principals and methods including FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW
  • Ability to read tape measure to 1/64”
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions
  • Experience with grinders, torches, plasma cutters, overhead cranes, and forklifts
  • Experience performing x-ray quality welds
  • Read and follow weld procedures, QC plans, and other work instruction documents
  • Proficiency with manual and semi-automatic execution of weld processes
  • Experience welding ASME Code pressure vessels
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and AWS weld symbols
  • Create fixtures to hold part while being welded
  • Perform basic NDE procedures (LPT and VT)
  • Understand tolerances and the importance of maintaining them

Educational / Physical Requirements

  • 5+ years welding/fitting experience
