Reducing Our Carbon Footprint

To continue to meet its corporate sustainability goals and reduce its carbon footprint, R-V Industries, Inc. announced today that they recently purchased 7,500,000 KWh of emission-free* electricity through Talen Energy’s Carbon-Zero 24/7 electricity product. The product will allow them to eliminate 5,304 metric tons of carbon, as they work toward meeting their sustainability goals.  In addition, R-V Industries reduced its Co2 footprint by another 100 tons through electric conservation initiatives.

The Carbon-Zero 24/7 product is backed by Emission-Free Energy Certificates issued by PJM Environmental Information Services (EIS) and tracked by the Generation Attribute Tracking System (GATS) to ensure the electricity supplied is from a source that does not directly emit air pollution (sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, carbon dioxide).

Annual avoided emission equivalencies using Carbon-Zero 24/7 is estimated at:

  • 299 homes’ electricity use for one year
  • 375 passenger vehicles driven for one year

Chester County, Pennsylvania Company Expands

December 13, 2019 – R-V industries, a premier design and industrial equipment manufacturer headquartered in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania (Chester County, U.S.A.), acquired a 44,000 square ft. facility (office and industrial manufacturing space) in Honey Brook, PA. The building and 13 acres of land is conveniently situated adjacent to R-V’s headquarters.
R-V currently operates 160,000 square feet of in-house manufacturing and assembly space at four separate Pennsylvania locations – including their headquarters and additional manufacturing facilities in Honey Brook, Morgantown, and Exton. These facilities offer turnkey design, fabrication, machining, finishing, assembly, and testing capabilities allowing R-V to serve clients ranging from local product OEMs to Fortune 500 companies in the industrial and pharmaceutical sector around the world.
